Wisconsin-Green Bay vs Wright State Prediction Basketball Picks 12-29-23

The Wright State Raiders and the Green Bay Phoenix meet Friday in college basketball action from Resch Center. Wright State is .500 through 12 games so far and fresh off a blowout win over Muskingum. As for Green Bay, they beat Milwaukee School of Engineering in their last outing, which improved the Phoenix to 6-7 overall. Let’s get into our Wright State vs. Green Bay prediction. Wright State Raiders 

The Raiders were only able to win four of their first 10 games this year, falling to Colorado State, Toledo, Indiana, Hofstra, Davidson and Western Kentucky alongside wins over Louisiana, Illinois State, IUPUI and Bethel IN. Since then it’s been consecutive wins over Miami-OH and Muskingum, though. 

Matched up against Muskingum last Friday, the Raiders didn’t have any issues. Wright State was up 47-24 after the first half and cruised to a 101-54 blowout win with 54 second-half points. Tops in scoring was Tanner Holden with 19 points, while AJ Braun doubled up on 15 points and 16 boards. 

Green Bay Phoenix

Over on the Green Bay side, they’ve had a rough season so far and have been unable to win consecutive games. The Phoenix have fallen to Iowa State, Valparaiso, UC Riverside, Fort Wayne, SIU Edwardsville, Western Illinois and Oklahoma thus far, but they’re 2-1 in the last trio with wins over UIC and Milwaukee School of Engineering. 

In their game versus Milwaukee School of Engineering back on December 21, the Phoenix took a 36-24 lead into the second half and closed on a 43-22 run from there in a 79-46 victory. David Douglas led the way with 15 points and five rebounds. Marcus Hall chipped in 12 points, two rebounds and two assists as well. 

ANDREW’S FREE WRIGHT STATE VS GREEN BAY PREDICTION 

I’ll probably stay with Wright State. Granted, there’s not a lot to get excited about here, though. The Raiders are coming off an easy win versus an overmatched opponent, shooting 59.4 percent from the field with 42 rebounds and 21 assists in that one. Wright State has been scoring very well this year with 73 or more points in every game. 

As for Green Bay, they’ve hit 70 or more in two of the last three outings and very well could hit that threshold in this one. That said, the Phoenix also give up some pretty healthy totals on the other side so I think Wright State can keep Green Bay at a distance on Friday.
