Cleveland State Vikings
The Vikings managed a 14-10 record through their first 24 games this year. Cleveland State finished off the year with a 5-2 run, taking out Robert Morris, Youngstown State, Wright State, Northern Kentucky and Green Bay during that time.
On Thursday in the tournament game versus Robert Morris, Cleveland State recovered from a 32-28 halftime deficit to force overtime. The Vikings hit 14 points in the extra period and won 75-70. Tristan Enaruna led the team on 23 points with seven rebounds.
Over on the Milwaukee side, they went 16-7 across their first 23 outings this season. The Panthers went 4-3 to close out the year, taking wins over Detroit Mercy, Oakland, Fort Wayne and Cleveland State alongside losses to Green Bay, Youngstown State and Robert Morris.
Back on Thursday versus Wright State, the Panthers were up 45-27 going into the second half. Milwaukee posted another 42 points from there and took the win 87-70. BJ Freeman logged 29 points with six rebounds in the tournament victory.

I’ll probably stick with Milwaukee here. The Panthers are sitting on a three-game win streak right now and they’re scoring well again with 81 or more points in each of those victories. For what it’s worth, the Panthers won both meetings with Cleveland State this year. One was a 68-64 affair at Wolstein Center on January 5; the other was an 81-72 victory at UWM Panther Arena on February 25. Cleveland State is 6-1 in their last seven games and should notch a pretty solid offensive total themselves. It’ll be a good matchup, but I’m leaning toward Milwaukee cover-wise.
