The Eastern Kentucky Colonels and the Milwaukee Panthers meet in college basketball action from the Panther Arena on Saturday night.

The Eastern Kentucky Colonels will look to add to their 2-0 start to the year after a 103-74 win over subdivision Ohio Valley in their last game. Michael Moreno leads the Colonels in scoring and rebounding with 18.5 PPG and 9 RPG while Cooper Robb and Jomaru Brown each have 12 PPG with Robb logging 5 RPG while Brown has a team-high 3 SPG this season. Braxton Beverly and Russhard Cruickshank each have 11 PPG with 4+ APG respectively while Devontae Blanton has 10.5 PPG as well on the year. As a team, Eastern Kentucky is averaging 98 PPG on 52.8% shooting from the field, 38.4% from three and 54.5% from the foul line while allowing 68.5 PPG on 39.8% from the field and 27.1% from three this season.

The Milwaukee Panthers will look to build on their 75-60 season-opening win over North Dakota in their last game. Patrick Baldwin Jr. led the Panthers with 21 points on 6 of 14 shooting with 10 rebounds for the double-double while Deandre Gholston had 14 points with 6 rebounds, Donovan Newby had 12 points with a team-high 4 assists and a pair of steals and Vin Baker Jr. had 11 points to cap off the scoring in double figures for Milwaukee in the win. Jordan Lathon had 6 points with 7 rebounds as well in the victory for the Panthers. As a team, Milwaukee shot 43.4% shooting from the field, 40% from three and 76.7% from the foul line in the winning effort.

Eastern Illinois is 17-7 ATS in their last 24 road games and 28-12-2 ATS in their last 42 games overall while the over is 25-6 in their last 31 Saturday games. Milwaukee is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 6-15 ATS in their last 21 home games while the over is 6-0 in their last 6 Saturday games.

This is an interesting game as Eastern Kentucky does have some talent in that lineup, but they’ve also played nobody through two games so I’m not sure how they’ll react against a team with a pulse like Milwaukee. The Panthers looked good against North Dakota and have the best player on the floor in Patrick Baldwin Jr. I think the Panthers pull away in the second half and cover this mid-range number.
