Oakland managed to go a sketchy 7-11 across their first 18 games of the year. Over the next seven outings, the Grizzlies went 3-4 with losses to Youngstown State (twice), Robert Morris and Fort Wayne. The wins came over IUPUI, Detroit and Cleveland State. 

On Thursday versus Green Bay, Oakland jumped out to a 29-18 halftime lead. The Grizzlies hit a 30-29 advantage in the second half and won the game 59-47. Trey Townsend managed to double up with 23 points and 12 rebounds in the victory. 

Milwaukee Panthers 

Over on the Milwaukee side, they posted a 12-5 run across their first 17 outings. A 4-3 stretch came after that with wins over Robert Morris, Youngstown State, Northern Kentucky and IUPUI alongside losses to Wright State, IUPUI and Green Bay. 

Matched up against Detroit on Thursday, the Panthers were up 50-31 at the break. Milwaukee faced a 58-44 deficit in the second but still held on for the 94-89 win. BJ Freeman topped the team with 26 points and 10 rebounds.

I’m sticking with Milwaukee. The Panthers are looking pretty good over this current 3-1 run; the only blemish in that time was a one-point loss to Green Bay. Milwaukee has scored well lately with 72 or more points in 10 straight games. The last time these teams saw each other was on December 29 at Athletics Center O’rena in an 83-61 Grizzlies win. Milwaukee certainly has plenty of motivation for revenge in this rematch and I like them to power out a cover.
