The Wright State Raiders and the Milwaukee Panthers meet in college basketball action from the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Friday night.

The Wright State Raiders will try to build on a four-game win streak after a 79-62 win over Green Bay last time out. Tanner Holden leads Wright State in scoring and assists with 20.6 PPG and 2.9 APG while Grant Basile has 17.6 PPG and a team-high 8.6 RPG to lead the Raiders on the glass. Trey Calvin has 14 PPG to make up the trio of double-digit scorers for Wright State so far this season. As a team, Wright State is averaging 76 PPG on 47.4% shooting from the field, 32.7% from three and 76.3% from the foul line while allowing 71.8 PPG on 44.5% shooting from the field and 32.5% from three this season.

The Milwaukee Panthers will hope to bounce back and snap a six-game losing skid after a 75-39 loss to Northern Kentucky last time out. DeAndre Gholston leads the Panthers in scoring with 14.9 PPG along with 4.1 RPG while Patrick Baldwin Jr. has 12.1 PPG and 5.8 RPG in 11 games so far this season. Josh Thomas has 9.8 PPG while Donovan Newby has 8.2 PPG as well for the Panthers on the year. Joey St. Pierre leads the Panthers on the glass with 5.5 RPG while Jordan Lathon has a team-high 3.1 APG to lead the Panthers in the assist department as well this season. As a team, Milwaukee is averaging 65.4 PPG on 42% shooting from the field, 31.4% from three and 72.8% from the foul line while allowing 72 PPG on 40.6% shooting from the field and 33.6% from three this season.

Wright State is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a losing record. Milwaukee is 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 games following a loss by 20 or more points.

I get the case for a home dog, but Wright State’s right up there with Cleveland State as one of the teams to beat in the Horizon League this season. Milwaukee didn’t look good at all against Northern Kentucky and I think something similar could be on the cards here. Maybe not to that extent but I can see the Raiders winning by double-digits here. Give me the Raiders laying the points.
