The UNC Greensboro Spartans and the Wofford Terriers meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium. Here’s a Wofford vs UNC Greensboro prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Wofford vs UNC Greensboro pick.
UNC Greensboro Spartans Betting Preview
The Spartans posted a 5-4 run over their first nine games, losing to SMU, Indiana, San Jose State, and UTEP along the way. UNC Greensboro is 2-2 since then with wins over William Pace and VA-Lynchburg alongside losses to North Florida and Elon.
In the VA-Lynchburg game on Saturday, the Spartans came out of the break with a dominant 56-26 edge. UNC Greensboro closed on 49 more points in a 105-50 blowout win. Donovan Atwell was the leading team scorer on 21 points and six boards. Both Kenyon Giles and Ronald Polite scored 12 points apiece, while Malik Henry added 10 points and seven rebounds. Coming off the bench to contribute 10 points and seven boards was Muon Reath.
Atwell is second on the team so far this year when it comes to scoring. He’s got 13.5 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, and 1.1 assists per game. Leading the squad is Giles, who has amassed 16.3 points per game in 30.2 minutes per game across 13 appearances.
Wofford Terriers Betting Preview
Over on the Terriers’ side, they limped to a 2-5 start this year with losses to Lipscomb, Presbyterian, Duke, Milwaukee, and Portland State. Wofford is 4-2 since then, however, falling to only Elon and Charleston in those half-dozen appearances. The wins otherwise were versus North Alabama, Gardner-Webb, Saint Louis, and Kentucky Christian.
Matched up against Kentucky Christian in their most recent outing, the Terriers were ahead comfortably in the locker room 51-28. After a 49-27 second-half run Wofford had the win 100-55. Jeremy Lorenz posted 20 points with two rebounds along the way. Kyler Filewich topped the team in rebounding with 15 alongside eight points and six assists. Bench-wise Anthony Arrington was tops with 12 points and four assists, but both Cannon Ricards and Kahmare Holmes posted nice outings with 11 points each.
Corey Tripp still leads the Terriers in scoring average this year with 13.4 points per game. Filewich is second with 10.6 points and a team-high 9.8 rebounds per game. Also in double figures is Dillon Bailey with 10.2 points per game to his credit.

Wofford vs UNC Greensboro Prediction
I’ll lean toward Wofford, but you could make a case either way. The Terriers didn’t have any issues versus Kentucky Christian in their last game, shooting 48.7 percent from the field with 53 rebounds. The 16-of-27 (59.3 percent) from the line didn’t help matters, but there was plenty of garbage time involved. Wofford has scored 74 or more points in all six of their wins this year, and they’ve been below 68 points in each of their last two losses.
As for UNC Greensboro, they’re coming off a similarly easy win versus VA-Lynchburg. In that one, the Spartans posted a nice 51.4 percent shooting from the floor alongside a 56-29 rebounding edge and 29 team assists. It was a pretty well-disciplined game, resulting in just six turnovers. The Spartans have scored well lately with 69 or more points in four straight games (a 2-2 run), but they’re also giving up some sizable points totals to comparable teams. I think Wofford will have enough good looks to cover/win here.
Considering both teams are coming off sizable wins against the overmatched competition, we could see a lot of quick shot attempts—at least early in the game. The squad that will own the first half will likely be the one who controls things on the defensive end of the floor. A little patience here will go a long way. If Wofford keeps their focus on high-percentage looks and bags their share of second-chance points, the Terriers will be in great shape down the stretch.
