Wyoming vs Utah State 2/8/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Utah State Aggies and the Wyoming Cowboys meet in college basketball action from the Arena-Auditorium on Tuesday night.

The Utah State Aggies will look to build on their current five-game winning streak after a 90-75 win over UNLV last time out. Justin Bean leads the Aggies in scoring and rebounding with 18.7 PPG and 9.9 RPG while Brandon Horvath has 12.8 PPG with 6.5 RPG and Sean Bairstow has 10.3 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Utah State so far this season. Rylan Jones has 7.5 PPG and a team-high 4.8 APG to lead the Aggies in the assist department. As a team, Utah State is averaging 75.8 PPG on 48.6% shooting from the field, 35% from three and 74.1% from the foul line while allowing 66.7 PPG on 41.8% shooting from the field and 34% from the foul line this season.

The Wyoming Cowboys will look to add to their current four-game win streak after a 61-59 win over Fresno State last time out. Graham Ike leads the Cowboys in scoring and rebounding with 20 PPG along with 8.9 RPG while Hunter Maldonado has 19.3 PPG with 5.6 RPG and a team-high 6.4 APG as well this season. Drake Jeffries has 10.9 PPG with 5.2 RPG to make up the group of double-digit scorers for Wyoming up to this point in the season while Xavier DuSell has 8.9 PPG as well. As a team, Wyoming is averaging 76.1 PPG on 48% shooting from the field, 35.8% from three and 71.6% from the foul line while allowing 65.6 PPG on 41.4% shooting from the field and 28% from three this season.

Utah State is 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-1 in their last 6 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. Wyoming is 20-6 ATS in their last 26 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600 and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Tuesday games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games as a favorite.

I get the case to be made either way here as these are two teams that have been red-hot as of  late. However, while Utah State’s been having a nice run, the Cowboys pulled off the win over Fresno State to really establish themselves as one of the top teams in the Mountain West this season. The Cowboys also play their best at home and taking the points almost insinuates that you think Utah State wins on the road and I’m not seeing it to be honest. Give me the Cowboys at home here.
