The Columbia Lions will travel to the John J. Lee Amphitheater to take on the Yale Bulldogs this Tuesday night in College Basketball action.

The Columbia Lions lost their 2nd straight game and dropped to 4-12 on the season after being defeated by the Brown Bears, 93-74, this past Saturday. Columbia had no answers on the defensive end for Brown and could not fight back after going into halftime trailing by a 52-31 margin. Columbia shot 54.9% from the field & 42.9% from beyond the arc while allowing Brown to shoot 49.3% from the field & 40.0% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Lions was Ike Nweke who had 16 points, 9 rebounds, & 1 assist.

On the season, Columbia is averaging 69.5 ppg on 44.6% shooting from the field. The Lions are averaging 7.2 three-pointers per game on 37.5% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Columbia has been led by Ike Newke (17.5 ppg, 6.8 rpg), Geronimo Rubio De La Rosa (12.1 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 3.3 apg), Liam Murphy (12.0 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.4 apg), & Eddie Turner III (9.0 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 2.7 apg, 1.0 spg).

Defensively, Columbia is allowing their opponents to average 78.2 ppg on 45.7% shooting from the field. The Lions have a rebound margin of 0.6 and a turnover margin of -3.9.

The Yale Bulldogs had their 2-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 8-9 on the season after being defeated by the Pennsylvania Quakers, 76-68, this past Saturday. Yale struggled offensively in the 1st half against Pennsylvania and the Bulldogs allowed the Quakers to pull away late after Pennsylvania took a 66-58 lead with 3:07 left in regulation. Yale shot 39.0% from the field & 15.8% from beyond the arc while allowing Pennsylvania to shoot 41.5% from the field & 19.2% from beyond the arc. Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Jalen Gabbidon who had 21 points, 2 rebounds, & 2 steals.

On the season, Yale is averaging 72.8 ppg on 42.5% shooting from the field. The Bulldogs are averaging 7.9 three-pointers per game on 32.4% shooting from beyond the arc. Offensively, Yale has been led by Azar Swain (18.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.9 apg), Jalen Gabbidon (11.1 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 1.2 apg, 1.3 spg), Matthue Cotton (9.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.2 apg), & Isaiah Kelly (6.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.6 apg).

Defensively, Yale is allowing their opponents to average 70.7 ppg on 41.8% shooting from the field. The Bulldogs have a rebound margin of -1.7 and a turnover margin of 0.9.

The Lions are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss, however, are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Tuesday games. The Bulldogs are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games and 1-3 ATS in their last 4 home games.

The Columbia Lions have been by their offense this season which despite ranking just 228th in scoring offense, is ranked 157th in FG% & 31st 3P-FG%, however, the defense has really struggled and currently ranks just 333rd in scoring defense & 309th in defensive FG%. Yale has been average on both ends of the court this season and come into this game ranked t-155th in scoring offense, t-146th in three-pointers made per game, & 132nd in defensive FG%.

Columbia has looked better as of late since getting Ike Newke into the lineup, however, this is still a team that has been awful on the defensive end as they have allowed 90+ points in each of their last two games. Yale has been a bit disappointing this season, however, they are 5-2 at home this season and as I think their offense has plenty of success in this one, I think the Bulldogs win this one by 20+ and cover this large home spread. Good Luck!
