The Dartmouth Big Green and the Yale Bulldogs meet Friday in college basketball action from Lee Amphitheater. Dartmouth is 4-11 so far this year. the Green took a loss to Cornell in their last game. As for Yale, they’re sitting at 10-4 overall following a loss to Columbia on Saturday. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Dartmouth posted a 4-6 run over their first 10 games this year, beating Mass College of Liberal Arts, UTSA, NVU-Johnson and CSUB. The Green are currently riding a six-game losing streak, most recently versus Cornell.

In the Sunday matchup versus Cornell, the Big Green were only down one point going into the second half. Dartmouth was outscored 37-27 from there and lost 74-63. Demi Adelekun doubled up on 14 points with 10 rebounds.

Over on the Yale side, they were 8-2 over their first 10 games with losses to only Colorado and Butler. The Bulldogs are 2-2 since then with losses to Kentucky and Columbia around wins over Fairfield and Monmouth.

Matched up against Columbia on Saturday, Yale was outscored 34-20 in the first half. The Bulldogs made a game of it with 40 second-half points but still lost 62-60. August Mahoney put up 17 points with three rebounds.

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Yale. Also probably not touching this one. The Bulldogs have had a rough 2-3 run in their last five outings, posting 61 or fewer points in each of the three losses. The good news is that Yale should have a manageable matchup here. Dartmouth hasn’t made it past 63 points in any of the last six games, so a competent offensive effort from the Bulldogs should do it cover-wise.
