Stony Brook shot 43.7% from the field & 39.1% from beyond the arc while allowing Fairfield to shoot 50.0% from the field &* 36.8% from beyond the arc. Stony Brook won the turnover battle by an 8-5 margin, however, was outrebounded by Fairfield by a 40-32 margin in the loss. The Yale Bulldogs snapped their 2-game losing streak and improved to 4-3 on the season after defeating the Milwaukee Panthers, 69-56, this past Wednesday. Yale was outstanding defensively against Milwaukee and had no trouble pulling away for the victory after taking a 51-38 lead with 11:56 left in the 2nd half. The Seawolves are 0-4 ATS on the season and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games. The Bulldogs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Sunday games.
Yale has had an up and down start to their season, however, I think they are still the team to beat in the Ivy League led by Azar Swain. Stony Brook has had a slow start to their season and have been awful defensively as they rank 345th in defensive FG% & 339th in rebound margin. Yale hasn’t shot the ball great this season, however, they were impressive in their home win against UMass, putting up 91 points in a 20-point victory over the Minutemen. Stony Brook is going to have trouble keeping with Yale offense in this one and as I think the Bulldogs win this one by double-digits, I’m taking Yale.
