Alabama Bounced Back in a Big Way
Alabama in the first game faced off against Florida State and it didn’t go well. Alabama scored 17 points, but the defense gave up 31 points. In the last game against Louisiana-Monroe, though, they bounced back in a huge game. Alabama scored 73 points and the defense gave up zero on the way to the victory. At the end of the first quarter, Alabama was up 21-0, and they never looked back on the way to the victory.
Alabama outgained Louisiana-Monroe 583-148, and they are going to need the offense to be good again here. Under center for Alabama is Ty Simpson who completed 17 of his 17 passes for 226 yards and three touchdowns. Austin Mack and Keeleon Russell also played. Ryan Williams missed the last game with a concussion but he is expected to be back in this game. Not having Williams in the last game wasn’t a big deal, but against a team like Wisconsin, getting him back is a big boost.
Wisconsin Looks to Move to 3-0
Wisconsin looks to move to 3-0 with a victory in this game. In the first game, Wisconsin secured the victory 17-0 and in the last game against Middle Tennessee, they secured the 42-10 victory. Quarterback Danny O’Neil completed 23 of his 27 passes for 283 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception. There were seven different players that had at least 11 yards. Trech Kekahuna finished with one catch for 61 yards and a touchdown. The Badgers had 436 total yards while Middle Tennessee put up 241 total yards.
The big question for Wisconsin heading into this game is who will be under center. Billy Edwards Jr was hurt in the Badgers’ first game, and at the time, it was unclear how long he would be out. He missed the last game, but he’s at least traveling with the team for this game. It might be a game-time decision, but there is a chance he could play. If he can’t go, it will be O’Neil who is going to get the start.
Alabama vs Wisconsin Prediction
To be honest, without the status of Billy Edwards Jr, this isn’t a game that I am all that interested in betting on. I have to imagine that he’s going to be out for this game though, so this will prediction will be assuming that he’s out. O’Neil looked good in the last game, but this is a much tougher matchup. The Wisconsin offense is going to have some major issues getting anything going here. Will Alabama will be scoring 65 points here? Probably not. That being said, they are still going to cruise to an easy victory. Back Alabama to win this game and cover the spread.
