James Madison has been cooking so far this year. The Dukes are on a great run, starting with a 20-13 win over Liberty in the opener. From there the Dukes took out Wagner, San Diego State and Old Dominion in the next three outings. Since then it’s been three more wins over Marshall, Georgia Southern and Georgia State, giving the Dukes a nice 7-0 record so far.
In the matchup with Georgia State last weekend the Dukes bagged two touchdowns in the first quarter and three more in the second on the way to a commanding 35-10 halftime lead. James Madison posted two more TDS in the second half for a 49-22 win. QB Camden Coleman was 13-of-19 for 185 yards and two scores. Cole Keller caught two balls for 54 yards.
Appalachian State Mountaineers Betting Preview
Over on the App State side, they got off to a nice start themselves this year through the first three games. The Mountaineers took out Maine, East Carolina and Charlotte in that trio, but then recorded losses to NC State and Old Dominion in the next pair. After a tight win over Coastal Carolina last week, the Mountaineers are 4-2 overall on the season.
Matched up against the Chanticleers last Friday the Mountaineers gave up two touchdowns and a field goal in the second quarter and went into the locker room down 10 points. App State got it going in the second and crawled back into the game for a 35-32 comeback win, though. QB Malachi Singleton was 12-of-14 for 151 yards while Henry Hasselbeck rushed for 125 yards on 21 totes.

James Madison rolled right through a pretty decent Georgia State team in their latest outing, notching 24 first downs, 515 yards, 250 rushing yards and a 6-of-12 success rate on third downs. The Dukes gave up just 4-of-13 on third downs defensively and had two takeaways. JMU has 26 or more points in six straight games now and 20 or more in all seven.
As for App State, they bagged 28 first downs, 516 yards and 8-of-14 on third downs in their comeback win over Coastal Carolina. The Mountaineers gave up 437 yards on the other side with 21 first downs. Appalachian State has 26 or more points in five of six outings this year, so this one could very well be a high total.
