Arizona State vs UCLA 11/5/22 College Football Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Arizona State Sun Devils and UCLA Bruins do battle Saturday in week 10 PAC-12 college football action from Sun Devil Stadium. UCLA is coming off a matchup versus Stanford. In that game the Bruins got a blowout win. Over on the Sun Devils’ side, they played Colorado in their last outing. Arizona State ended up winning by eight points. UCLA opened the season on a six-game win streak, with only two of those games decided by single-digit points. The Bruins beat Bowling Green, Alabama State, South Alabama, Colorado, Washington and Utah before falling to Oregon in game seven. 

In the Stanford matchup, the Bruins didn’t have a ton of trouble. UCLA jumped out to a 24-6 halftime lead and cruised to the 38-13 result. QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson put up 199 yards on 18-of-29 passing, and Zach Charbonnet rushed 21 times for 198 yards and three scores. 

Over on the Sun Devils’ side, they went just 1-4 over their first five games, beating Northern AZ before falling to Oklahoma State, Eastern Michigan, Utah and USC. Arizona State would then beat Washington before a loss to Stanford 15-14. 

Matched up against Colorado, Arizona State managed a 28-17 halftime lead and held on for an eventual victory 42-34. Quarterback Trenton Bourguet finished with 435 yards, three scores and a pick. Xazavian Valladay carried 23 times for 118 yards and three touchdowns.

PICK: I’m probably sticking with UCLA. The Bruins put on a great performance in the win over Stanford this past weekend, bagging 523 total yards (324 rush yards), 26 first downs and 7.1 yards per play. UCLA’s offense has been clicking all year. They’ve hit 30 or more points in all eight games so far. 

As for Arizona State, they managed 557 yards (435 passing) and 22 first downs in their win over Colorado. It was a nice outing for the Sun Devils, but this one will certainly be tougher.
