Oklahoma State Cowboys Betting Preview
Oklahoma State has managed to put four games in the rearview mirror so far this year, with mixed results among them. The Cowboys opened up with a pretty routine matchup against Tennessee-Martin, pulling away for a 27-7 win. Game two on the road versus Oregon however, was a blowout loss 69-3 that evened up OK State’s record. On September 19 the Cowboys managed to put up nine unanswered fourth quarter points versus Tulsa but it wasn’t enough in a 19-12 loss. Oklahoma State posted 403 total yards (218 passing) with 5.4 yards per play and 24 first downs in the tight home defeat.
In last weekend’s game versus Baylor, the Cowboys were down 35-27 going into the fourth quarter, then gave up 10 unanswered points in an eventual home loss 45-27. QB Zane Flores was 23-of-41 for 232 yards, and leading rusher Trent Howland had 16 carries for 84 yards and two touchdowns. Shamar Rigby had five receptions for 84 yards to top the receivers while Rodney Fields added five catches for 75 yards in the losing effort.
Arizona Wildcats Betting Preview
Over on the Arizona side, they’ve likewise got four games in the books so far this season. The Wildcats posted a couple of blowout wins to start things off, cruising past Hawaii 40-6 in the opener and Weber State 48-3 in game two. On September 12 versus Kansas State, Arizona played a tight one but eventually emerged victorious, scoring in every quarter on the way to a 23-17 outcome. The Wildcats offense came up with 412 total yards (234 rushing) while holding the opposition to just 193 total yards (88 passing), 3.6 yards per play, eight first downs and 3-of-13 on third-down tries.
In their latest outing last weekend versus Iowa State, Arizona gave up points in every quarter (including 14 in both the second and third) along the way to a 39-14 road loss. Noah Fifita logged a 32-of-48 passing day with 253 yards, two scores and two picks. Ismail Mahdi added 13 carries for a team-high 85 yards, and Kris Hutson was the team’s leading receiver on six grabs for 67 yards and a touchdown.

Arizona vs Oklahoma State Prediction
I’ll likely lean toward Arizona, but you could probably make a case either way considering both teams are coming off losses that made them look like worse squads than they actually are. Arizona made some mistakes against a very good Iowa State team, totaling 360 yards (253 passing) with 5.0 yards per play, 20 first downs, 4-of-13 on third downs and two interceptions. On defense Arizona had a tough time slowing the Cyclones down, giving up 399 yards (288 passing), 5.8 yards per play, 19 first downs and 6-of-13 on third-down tries. The 39 points surrendered were pretty uncharacteristic thus far, as Arizona had given up fewer than 18 points in three straight prior to that—and fewer than seven in two of those.
As for Oklahoma State, they gave up a whopping 612 yards (393 passing), 8.3 yards per play, 29 first downs and 7-of-14 on third-down tries to Baylor last weekend. The offense couldn’t keep up with 448 yards of their own alongside 5.7 yards per play, 22 first downs and 6-of-16 on third downs. That said, the Cowboys did have a couple of good quarters; they just couldn’t maintain form. The good news is that OK State matched their highest points total of the season so far (27) the bad news is that they’re giving up points at a pretty steady clip on the other side.
