Arkansas’s defense wasn’t good enough and they are going to need the defense to be better. The defense allowed Alan Bowman to throw for 326 yards, and that can’t happen again here. If the defense struggles, this going to be a long game. Finishing games was a major issue in 2023 and it looks to be a major issue again in 2024. They need to find a way to get more offensive success early to take some of the pressure off late.

UAB in the first game faced off against Alcorn State and they were able to secure the 41-3 victory. In that game, Jacob Zeno completed 23 of his 33 passes for 215 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Lee Bebee also had a strong game finishing with 15 carries for 82 yards and two touchdowns. In the last game against Louisiana-Monroe, UAB scored six points but the defense gave up 32 points and that led to the defeat.
Jacob Zeno completed 22 of his 32 passes for 167 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. The offense just wasn’t good and if they want any chance in this game, the offense is going to need to be better. UAB can’t score less than 20 points and expect to have any success in this season. UAB only scored six points in the last game and I have some major concerns about what they are going to do in this game. Arkansas has Green under center and in his last start, he threw for 216 yards. Arkansas is going to have no issue running up the score and this game is going to get out of control early.
