The Oklahoma State Cowboys and Texas Longhorns clash Saturday in a week 8 Big 12 college football matchup from Boone Pickens Stadium.

The Texas Longhorns come into this one looking to build on their current three-game win streak after a 24-21 win over Iowa State last time out, improving to 5-2 on the year as a result.  Hudson Card has thrown for 923 yards, 6 touchdowns and an interception on 69.2% passing while Quinn Ewers has thrown for 820 yards, 9 touchdowns and a pair of interceptions on 67.7% passing. Bijan Robinson leads Texas in rushing with 780 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns this season. Xavier Worthy has a team-high 32 catches for 432 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns Jordan Whittington has 381 receiving yards and Ja’Tavion Sanders has 320 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Jaylan Ford has a team-high 66 total tackles including 37 solo tackles while Texas’ defense as a whole has 15 sacks this season.

The Oklahoma State Cowboys will try to bounce back from their first loss of the year, sitting at 5-1 after a 43-40 loss to TCU last time out. Spencer Sanders has thrown for 1,639 yards, 13 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 58.5% passing while Dominic Richardson has a team-high 427 rushing yards and 5 rushing scores. The aforementioned Sanders also has 307 rushing yards and 8 touchdowns as well. Braydon Johnson leads Oklahoma State’s receiving group with 398 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns while Brennan Presley has a team-high 30 grabs for 353 receiving yards. Three other Cowboys have 200+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Mason Cobb has a team-high 54 total tackles including 30 solo tackles while Oklahoma State’s defensive unit has combined for 17 sacks this season, led by Brock Martin’s 4 sacks while Tyler Lacy, Collin Oliver and Ben Kopenski each have 3 sacks apiece.

Texas is 3-8 ATS in their last 11 conference games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games in October. Oklahoma State is 11-2-1 ATS in their last 14 conference games and 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 games overall while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games against a team with a winning record.

I get the case to be made for Texas laying points here, as the Longhorns have been rolling for the most part over the last month, especially offensively. However, this line is completely disrespectful to Oklahoma State. Sure, the Cowboys’ toughest test at home was against Texas Tech, but they still beat the Red Raiders by double-digits, a Red Raiders team that beat Texas outright in the Longhorns’ lone road game this season. The underdog’s covered five straight and has won 3 of the last 4 meetings outright. Give me Oklahoma State and the points here.
