The Washington State Cougars and the Boise State Broncos meet Saturday in college football action from Albertsons Stadium. Here’s a Boise State vs Washington State prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Boise State vs Washington State pick.

Washington State Cougars Betting Preview

The Cougars got off to a nice start this season. Washington State took a blowout victory over Portland State 70-30 in their opener, then beat Texas Tech 37-16 in game two. Game three was much closer but still a win, this time 24-19 over Washington on September 14.

In the San Jose State game last Friday, the Cougars scored 22 points in the fourth quarter and eventually gutted out a 54-52 win in double overtime. John Mateer finished with 390 yards, four pass scores and two picks while also leading the rush with 111 yards and another TD.

Boise State Broncos Betting Preview

Over on the Boise State side, they opened up the year with a matchup versus Georgia Southern. Boise State ended up winning a shootout in that one, taking it 56-45. Game two was a tough matchup versus Oregon, which would go on to be a tough loss 37-34.

In game three versus Portland State, the Broncos scored 21 points in the second quarter alone on the way to a 56-14 blowout win. Maddux Madsen notched 188 yards passing with three scores. Ashton Jeanty led the running game on 127 yards from 11 totes.

Boise State vs Washington State Prediction

I’ll stick with Boise State. The Broncos didn’t have too many issues with Portland State in their last game, notching 609 total yards (342 rushing), 27 first downs and a 7-of-10 rate on third-down conversions. That makes 34 or more points in all three games for the Broncos, with two of those hitting the 56-point mark.

As for Washington State, they’re coming off a wild matchup with SJSU. The Cougars posted 627 total yards (390 passing), 31 first downs and 9-of-15 on third-down tries. Washington State also had a couple of turnovers and committed 12 penalties for 109 yards, however. This weekend’s matchup is probably going to be another high-scoring affair, and it should be a fun one to watch.
