Memphis Tigers Betting Preview
The Tigers have four games in the can so far this season. Memphis opened up the year with a 27-21 road victory over UNLV on August 29, then came a game two matchup versus Arkansas State. The Tigers took that one pretty easily 42-24. Memphis took their first loss in game three on the road versus Boise State however, falling in that one 38-20.
In their game versus Tennessee-Martin back on September 19, the Tigers got back into the win column. Memphis put up double-digit points in three of the four quarters (and a touchdown in the other) along the way to a 45-21 victory. QB Marcus Stokes was 26-of-32 for 258 yards and four scores. Jordan Thompson added six carries for 110 yards and a touchdown as well.
Charlotte 49ers Betting Preview
Over on the Charlotte side, they had a tough matchup versus the Citadel in their first outing this year. The 49ers eventually lost 43-41 in a difficult result after three overtime periods. Game two was a blowout loss on the road versus Ole Miss 41-9, then came another defeat in game three. That one was closer, though: 26-21 on the road versus Appalachian State.
Matched up against Louisiana last weekend the Niners were only down by a field goal at halftime 10-7. Charlotte failed to score from there though, giving up 24 unanswered points in an eventual loss 34-7. QB Cole Gonzales was 9-of-16 for 68 yards and a pick, while Henry Rutledge led an anemic rush with three carries for just 14 yards in the defeat.

I’ll stay with Memphis I suppose. The Tigers didn’t have too many issues versus TN-Martin in their last game. Memphis ended up with 572 total yards in that one alongside 299 rushing yards, 7.6 yards per play, 28 first downs and a nice 9-of-13 effort on third-down tries. the Tigers defense gave up just 14 first downs and 177 passing yards on the other side. Memphis is well-rested after that one and should come in here sharp.
As for Charlotte, they had a rough game versus Louisiana. The 49ers posted just 137 yards, six first downs, 1-of-11 on third downs and four turnovers—not to mention the nine penalties for 83 yards. It’s hard to imagine Charlotte bouncing back all that well for this one.
