Max Johnson went 9-11 for 103 yards and one touchdown, while Gio Lopez went 4-10 for 69 yards and one interception in the game. Caleb Hood rushed 10 times for 31 yards and one touchdown, while Jordan Shipp caught four passes for 84 yards in the loss. The North Carolina defense was led by Andrew Simpson, who had 11 total tackles, while the team recorded zero sacks and three tackles for loss. 

North Carolina started their first game against TCU with a bang on their first drive, but they were dominated from that point on. The Tar Heels were awful on defense and their tackling was a big issue, while the offense went just 1-10 on third downs. This is a big bounce back week for UNC, or the season could spiral.

Charlotte vs North Carolina Prediction 

North Carolina had a huge letdown to open their season last week against TCU and now they have to go on the road against a lesser opponent, so I question what their motivation will be. Charlotte also played poorly in their week one game, so this is a great opportunity for each side. I know UNC ended up losing by 34 points, but they are a much better team than that in my opinion, and I expect a better defensive effort here.
