In this article, we will formulate an East Carolina vs Navy prediction for this College Football game on Friday, November 29th at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium in Greenville, North Carolina. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week 14 matchup.

East Carolina Pirates Betting Preview

The East Carolina Pirates are 7-4 (5-2) this year after they defeated North Texas by a score of 40-28 in their last game. East Carolina trailed 21-0 in the second quarter, but they scored the next 31 points to pull away for the win. The Pirates outgained North Texas by a total of 553-447, lost the turnover battle 2-1, and went 7-15 on third down in the game. Katin Houser threw for 298 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception, while Rahjai Harris rushed for 128 yards and three scores in the game.

Prior to that win, the Pirates won three games in a row against Tulsa, FAU, and Temple. Katin Houser has completed 61.7% of his passes for 1,640 yards, 16 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, while Rahjai Harris has rushed for 858 yards and 10 scores.

Navy Midshipmen Betting Preview

The Navy Midshipmen are 7-3 (5-2) this season after they lost to Tulane by a score of 35-0 in their last game. Navy trailed 14-0 at the half and couldn’t find any points in the second half in the loss. The Midshipmen were outgained by a total of 358-113, lost the turnover battle 2-0, and went 1-11 on third down in the game. Braxton Woodson threw for 13 yards and one interception, while Alex Tecza rushed for 31 yards.

Prior to that loss, the Midshipmen defeated South Florida by a score of 28-7 but did lose to Rice and Notre Dame before that. The Navy offense has scored 32.1 points per game with 124.5 passing yards and 243.2 rushing yards per game, while the defense has allowed 23.5 points per game this season. Blake Horvath is Navy’s best offensive player at the quarterback position but is questionable for this game with an injury.

  • East Carolina ranks 4th among FBS teams for Q3 points per game this season (10.9).

East Carolina vs Navy Prediction

Navy comes into this matchup after losing three of their last four games and they will try to bounce back with a victory here. East Carolina has won four games in a row and they have scored 38+ points in all four of those games. The Pirates haven’t played great defense this season, but their offense has done a good job of covering up for them. The key to this game is the health of Horvath for Navy. If he plays, I like Navy to get the job done, but if he is out, I will take East Carolina. Since we don’t know if he is playing or not, I will side with the Pirates here.
