In this article, we will formulate a Houston vs Baylor Prediction for this College Football Week 13 game on Saturday, November 23rd, at TDECU Stadium.  Let’s take a look at a Houston Cougars vs Baylor Bears pick.

Baylor Has Confidence

Baylor has a ton of confidence heading into this game and they have won four games in a row. In the last game against West Virginia, Baylor scored 49 points and they ended up winning by 14 points. Sawyer Robertson completed 25 of his 36 passes for 329 yards and three touchdowns. Bryson Washington ran wild and he finished with 18 carries for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Baylor has been averaging 35.1 points per game so far this season. Their defense has been giving up an average of 27.6 points per game. This ranks their offense at 23rd in college football and their defense is at 87th.

Why Baylor Will Beat Houston

  • Baylor has won each of its last four games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Houston has lost four of its last five November games against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Baylor has covered the spread in each of its last five games as a favorite against non-AP-ranked teams.
  • Houston has failed to cover the spread in four of its last five November games at TDECU Stadium.

Houston Has Been So Inconsistent

Houston has been so inconsistent this season but overall it has been mostly a disappointing start to the year. Two games ago against Kansas State, Houston was able to secure the 24-19 victory but in the last game against Arizona it wasn’t the same and they ended up losing 27-3. In the last game, Zeon Chriss completed 16 of his 27 passes for 191 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. In this game, Houston is going to need the offense to be a whole lot better.  Houston has been scoring an average of 14 points per game while their defense has allowed for an average of 22.5 points per game. This puts their offense down at 133rd in college football rankings and their defense is ranked 46th.

Houston vs Baylor Prediction

Even on the road, give me Baylor to find success. I am just not sold on this Houston offense,e especially after they only scored three points in the last game. Look for Houston to struggle to get to even their season average of 14 points and that is going to be the difference here as Baylor is going to have no issue getting the job done here. Back Baylor to win this game and cover the spread.
