Liberty Flames Betting Preview

The Liberty Flames are 2-4 (1-1) this year after they defeated UTEP by a score of 19-8 last week. Liberty scored the first 19 points in this game and they cruised to the easy victory, but did lose the shutout in the fourth quarter. Liberty has lost four of their last five games and they are currently tied for fifth in the CUSA standings. The Flames have scored 17.3 points per game with 186.8 passing yards and 166.0 rushing yards per game, while they have allowed 20.7 points against per game this season. Ethan Vasko has thrown for 1,006 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions, while Evan Dickens has rushed 65 times for 344 yards and two scores this year.

The New Mexico State Aggies are 3-2 (1-1) this season after they defeated Sam Houston by a score of 37-10 in their last game. New Mexico State led 10-3 at halftime and added 27 points in the second half for the blowout victory. The Aggies out gained Sam Houston by a total of 350-313, went 9-13 on third downs, and won the turnover battle by a total of 3-1 in the game. Liberty vs New Mexico State Prediction

Both of these teams come into this matchup with a 1-1 record in conference play, so this is a very big game for each side. Liberty has dealt with some injuries to their quarterback room, but Vasko returned last week and led them to an easy win. New Mexico State hasn’t been great on either side of the ball and they have allowed 38 and 49 points in two of their last three games. I think the Liberty offense is lined up to have a big day here, so I like the Flames to cover.
