Bowling Green Falcons Betting Preview
Bowling Green kicked off their 2025 season with a pretty manageable matchup versus Lafayette. The Falcons posted points in every quarter—including 17 in the first half—during a 26-7 win. QB Drew Pyne was 12-of-18 for 109 yards, and Kaderris Roberts carried 12 times for 66 yards. RJ Garcia caught two balls for 32 yards to lead the receivers in the win.
In their second matchup versus Cincinnati, the Falcons took their first loss of the season. Bowling Green was down 21-3 by the end of the first half and ended up falling 34-20 from there. Pyne was 29-of-36 this time for 274 yards and a touchdown. Cameron Pettaway carried 13 times for 72 yards to top the ground attack, and Jyrin Johnson caught seven balls for 80 yards and a touchdown.
Last weekend against Liberty, Bowling Green managed to score points in all four quarters during a 23-13 victory. Pyne notched 146 yards and a score, while Roberts rushed 10 times for 59 yards to top the rush. RJ Garcia had 38 yards off his three receptions in the victory.
Louisville Cardinals Betting Preview
Over on the Louisville side, they’ve only got two games in the bag so far but both have been wins. First came a routine matchup versus an overmatched Eastern Kentucky squad. The Cardinals jumped out to a 41-7 halftime edge in that one, cruising to the win 51-17. Miller Moss threw for 223 yards and a touchdown but also had a pair of interceptions. Isaac Brown carried six times for 126 yards and two scores, while Chris Bell added five grabs for 63 yards total.
Matched up against James Madison on September 5, the Cardinals took another win—but this one was closer. Louisville had things tied up 14-14 heading into the final quarter, then scored a couple of times during an eventual win 28-14. Moss was 13-of-23 for 151 yards and a TD this time, and Brown led the rushers again with 12 totes for 104 yards and a score. Bell was again the leading Louisville receiver, hauling in four passes for 83 yards and a TD.

Louisville vs Bowling Green Prediction
I’m probably going to take a stab on Bowling Green. The Falcons have been a mixed bag on the field this year so far though, so this isn’t one I’ll mess with. Bowling Green’s first game versus Lafayette looked good on paper but only yielded a 5-of-14 rate on third downs and a paltry 109 passing yards. In the Cincinnati matchup the Falcons didn’t fare any better on third-down conversions, tallying just six of 16 attempts. The passing game (274 yards) was much better, though. Last weekend the Falcons played a sloppy game with 13 penalties for 103 yards. Bowling Green mustered just 146 yards passing in that one as well (304 total), but the defense was pretty darn good with just 16 first downs allowed and four takeaways. Needless to say however, the Falcons need to clean up a few things heading into this weekend’s game.
As for Louisville, they didn’t have a ton of issues versus James Madison in their last outing but the numbers were pretty uninspiring. The Cards had just 264 offensive yards, 12 first downs and a 5-of-14 rate on third-down tries. JMU’s 12 penalties and two turnovers were quite helpful in finding a Cardinals win. I could see Louisville owning this one with the extra prep time but I doubt I’ll put too much faith in either team.
