The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the Missouri State Bears meet Saturday in college football action from Robert W Plaster Stadium. Here’s a Missouri State vs LA Tech prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Missouri State vs LA Tech pick.
LA Tech Bulldogs Betting Preview
The Bulldogs did a pretty good job in their first five games, losing only to LSU in that time. Otherwise it was victories over SE Louisiana, New Mexico State, Southern Miss and UTEP in those five. A 1-4 run came in the next quintet of outings though, featuring only a win over Sam Houston. Losses to Kennesaw State, Western Kentucky, Delaware and Washington State occurred otherwise, giving the Bulldogs a .500 record through 10 games.
In last weekend’s matchup with Liberty, the Bulldogs scored 14 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to force overtime and eventually took a nail-biter game 34-28 in the end. QB Trey Kukuk was 13-of-20 for 118 yards while also leading the rush on 143 yards and two TDs from 19 carries. Andrew Burnette carried 17 times for 93 yards and three more scores, while Eli Finley had five catches for 58 yards in the winning effort.
Missouri State Bears Betting Preview
Over on the Missouri State side, they started out on a sketchy run then began to right the ship in October. The Bears went just 2-3 in their first five outings, losing to USC, SMU and Western Kentucky with a couple of wins over Marshall and Tennessee-Martin in that time. A winning streak began from there however, as Missouri State took out Middle Tennessee, New Mexico State, Florida International, Liberty and UTEP in the next five outings.
Matched up against Kennesaw State last weekend, the Bears were down 14-3 by the end of the first quarter but made things interesting with 24 points across the next two periods. Missouri State would end up losing a tough one 41-34, though. QB Jacob Clark finished 23-of-32 for 344 yards, three scores and two picks. Shomari Lawrence had 20 carries for 173 yards and a TD while Dash Luke led the receivers on 73 yards from five catches.

Missouri State vs LA Tech Prediction
I’ll lean toward Missouri State I suppose. The Bears need to bounce back after a tough loss to Kennesaw State last weekend, though. Missouri State’s offense posted 535 yards in that one with 191 rush yards, 8.6 yards per play and 24 first downs. That said, they also went just 3-of-11 on third downs and threw a couple of picks. The eight penalties didn’t help either. On defense the Bears gave up 500 yards and 26 first downs with no takeaways. The good news is that Missouri State has been scoring well lately; they’ve posted a combined 72 points in their last two outings.
As for LA Tech, they notched a gutsy comeback win in their matchup with Liberty last weekend. The offense totaled 437 yards, with 319 of those coming on the ground. On defense the Bulldogs came up with four interceptions, which really helped matters. LA Tech has been spotty when it comes to putting up points, but if they can get things going Saturday we’ll have a pretty high total.
