The Missouri Tigers and New Mexico State Aggies meet Saturday in week 12 college football action from Faurot Field. New Mexico State is coming off a game versus Lamar. In that one the Aggies took a blowout victory. As for Missouri, they just finished up a game versus Tennessee. The Tigers would go on to lose by a wide margin. New Mexico State went just 1-5 over their first half-dozen games this year, falling to Nevada, Minnesota, UTEP, Wisconsin and FIU. The Aggies would bag wins over their next pair, taking out New Mexico and UMass.

In the Lamar game, the Aggies didn’t have much trouble. New Mexico State was up 37-0 by halftime and cruised to the 51-14 win. QB Diego Pavia put up 146 yards and two scores, while also leading the rush with eight carries for 81 yards.

Over on the Missouri side, they went 2-1 over their first three games, beating LA Tech and Abilene Christian. The Tigers lost to Auburn, Georgia and Florida before wins over Vanderbilt and South Carolina, then a loss to Kentucky.

Matched up against Tennessee, the Tigers coughed up 21 points in both the second and third quarters during a 66-24 blowout loss. Brady Cook threw for 217 yards and two scores while also leading the rushing attack with 16 carries for 106 yards.

The Aggies are 7-1 ATS versus a team with a losing record and 4-1 ATS in the last five overall. New Mexico State is 8-17-2 ATS in their last 27 on turf.
Meanwhile, the Tigers are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 at home and 2-6 ATS in their last eight non-conference games. Missouri is 1-4 ATS in their last five on turf.

PICK: I’m probably sticking with New Mexico State. The Aggies didn’t exactly face elite competition over the weekend in their last game versus Lamar, but they got the job done. New Mexico State put up 433 total yards in that one with 22 first downs and zero turnovers for a solid overall effort.

As for Missouri, there wasn’t a realistic chance that they were going to hang around with Tennessee—and they didn’t. The Tigers gave up a whopping 724 yards of offense in the loss, along with 33 first downs and zero turnovers. Missouri should match up much better with New Mexico State but I think the Aggies can get in there on a cover.
