The Air Force Falcons and Nevada Wolf Pack duke it out Friday in a week 4 MWC college football contest from Falcon Stadium. Nevada is coming off a game versus Iowa. In that matchup, the Wolf Pack fell in a shutout. As for Air Force, they just played Wyoming. The Falcons ended up falling in a close finish there. Nevada played an early August 27 game versus New Mexico State and took a 23-12 win. Game two was another solid one for the Wolf Pack with a 38-14 win over Texas State. In game three, Nevada took a tough loss 55-41 to Incarnate Word to fall to 2-1.

Last weekend versus Iowa, the Wolf Pack had a rough game. Nevada coughed up points in every quarter during a 27-0 loss. QB Shane Illingworth posted just 82 yards and a pick. Devonte Lee led the rush with 33 yards from nine carries.

Over on the Air Force side, they got their offense working well right out of the gate with a 48-17 game one win over Northern Iowa. The Falcons were able to keep the scoreboard lit up in their second game against Colorado, taking a 41-10 victory.

Back on Friday against Wyoming, the Falcons were down 10-0 at the break. Air Force made a game of it but ultimately lost a tough one 17-14. QB Haaziq Daniels finished with 101 yards and two scores, and John Eldridge led the rush with 104 yards on 13 carries.

The Wolf Pack are 5-0 ATS in their last five road games and 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 after an ATS loss. Nevada is 5-2 ATS in their last seven Friday games.
Meanwhile, the Falcons are 6-1 ATS in their last seven overall and 5-2 ATS in the last seven at home. Air Force is 4-1 ATS in the last five Friday games.

PICK: I’m probably staying with Nevada but not touching it. The Wolf Pack really need a bounce-back effort here following that rough Iowa loss, though. Nevada came up with just 151 total yards and went 6-of-19 on third-down tries as they were pushed around by the Iowa defense.

As for Air Force, they also got bogged down in game three versus Wyoming. The Falcons posted a tepid offensive outing with 14 first downs, 272 total yards and 6-of-13 on third-down tries. The good news is that Air Force didn’t commit any penalties or turnovers though, so they’ve got something to build on this week.
