The Colorado State Rams and Hawaii Warriors clash Saturday in a week 8 MWC college football game from Canvas Stadium.

The Hawaii Warriors will try to build on their 31-16 win over Nevada to improve to 2-5 on the year. Brayden Schager has thrown for 1,028 yards, 3 touchdowns and 5 interceptions on 57.5% passing while Dedrick Parson has a team-high 472 rushing yards and 10 rushing TDs while Tylan Hines has 258 rushing yards as well this season. Zion Bowens leads the group of six Hawaii receivers with at least 100 receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Penei Pavihi has a team-high 45 total tackles including 28 solo tackles while John Tuitupou has half of Hawaii’s 6 sacks this season. Malik Hausman has a team-high 3 interceptions and Virdel Edwards II has a pair of interceptions as well this season.

The Colorado State Rams will look to bounce back after a 17-13 loss to Utah State last time out. Clay Millen’s thrown for 667 yards, 5 touchdowns and 4 interceptions on 73.9% passing while Avery Morrow has rushed for a team-high 353 yards this season. Tory Horton leads Colorado State’s receiving group with 32 catches for 491 yards and 5 touchdowns this season. On defense, Jack Howell leads the Rams with 51 total tackles and 3 interceptions while Mohamed Kamara has 4.5 sacks and C.J. Onyechi also has 2.5 sacks this season.

Hawaii is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games on turf. Colorado State is 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games overall and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games while the under is 11-1 in their last 12 games against a team with a losing record.

I get the case to be made for either side here, but I’m actually looking at Hawaii and the points here. It’s simply hard for me to get on board with a Colorado State team that’s 0-3 at home this year, and that includes a blowout loss to FCS Sacramento State. Hawaii got a decent win over Nevada at home and have been competitive in their last couple of road games, including a narrow lost as 24-point underdogs to San Diego State. I think Hawaii’s got a shot at an outright win here. Give me Hawaii and the points.
