The Army Black Knights are 6-5 (4-4) this year after they defeated UTSA by a score of 27-24 in their last game. Army trailed 10-0 in the second quarter, but they led 17-10 at halftime, before getting the winning touchdown with 2:49 left in the fourth. The Black Knights were out gained by a total of 386-303, went 3-14 on third downs, and won the turnover battle by a total of 1-0 in the game. Cale Hellums went 4-10 for 38 yards and one touchdown, while Noah Short rushed 14 times for 127 yards and one score. Brady Anderson led the receivers with one catch for 32 yards in the win. 

Prior to that game, Army lost to Tulsa by a score of 26-25, but did beat Temple by a score of 14-13 before that. Navy comes into this matchup after splitting their last four games, but they did finish tied for first in the American. The Midshipmen have wins against Memphis and South Florida in their last two, but they have also allowed at least 31 points in four of their last five. Army has won three of their last four and while they are a better defensive team, their offense only scored 23 points per game this year. I do think Navy is the better team, but like we saw last year, that doesn’t mean much coming into this game. With a lower scoring game expected and the heat of this rivalry, I expect a close game.
