The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks and the Troy Trojans will meet Saturday in college football action from Troy University Veterans Memorial Stadium. Here’s a Troy vs LA-Monroe prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Troy vs LA-Monroe pick.
LA-Monroe Warhawks Betting Preview
LA-Monroe kicked off their season with a matchup against Jackson State. The Warhawks started things off with a win 30-14. Game two was another victory, this time versus UAB. LA-Monroe didn’t have too many issues during a 32-6 blowout outcome.
The competition ratcheted up with a tough game versus Texas last weekend. The Warhawks had little hope in that one, falling behind 28-3 in the first half during a 51-3 blowout loss. General Booty threw for 42 yards and a pick, while Ahmad Hardy carried 10 times for 30 yards.
Troy Trojans Betting Preview
Over on the Trojans’ side, they went 0-3 through their first trio. First was a 28-26 loss to Nevada in the opener, then a 38-17 road loss versus Memphis on September 7. Game three was a 38-21 outcome, this one another road defeat versus Iowa.
Matched up against Florida A&M last weekend, the Trojans scored points in every quarter during a 34-12 victory. QB Will Crowder threw for 295 yards and four touchdowns. Damien Taylor added 109 rush yards and a score off 15 carries. Devonte Ross went off for 229 yards and three TDs from his 11 catches.

Troy vs LA-Monroe Prediction
I’m probably staying with Troy here. The Trojans were stellar on offense in their win over the Rattlers, notching 507 yards (295 passing), 24 first downs and 8.7 yards per play. The 12 penalties for 125 yards and zero takeaways were just about the only blemishes in the big win.
As for LA-Monroe, they really had no hope of competing with Texas last weekend, and the numbers show it. The Warhawks posted just 111 total yards (54 passing), seven first downs and 2-of-12 on third-down tries. LA-Monroe will have a much easier matchup this weekend but I don’t think they’ll cover.
