Central Florida Knights Betting Preview
Over on the Central Florida side, they opened the season with three wins over Jacksonville State, NC A&T and North Carolina. The Knights would then lose three versus Kansas State, Kansas and Cincinnati, though. UCF beat West Virginia in the next game then lost to Baylor and Houston. Central Florida vs Oklahoma State Prediction
I’ll take a stab on the Cowboys here but realistically I’m staying away. Oklahoma State had plenty of opportunities to pull ahead of Kansas State last weekend but just couldn’t get the job done. The major culprit for the offense was the five turnovers (three picks), not to mention the tepid 5-of-12 success rate on third downs. The OK State defense performed admirably well on the other side though, giving up 284 yards, 14 first downs and just 4-of-15 on third downs. The Cowboys have had major issues scoring lately; they’ve been below 22 points in six straight games (losing all six). If things don’t change this weekend, the defense is going to have to step up in a major way once again.
As for Central Florida, they were demolished by a great Texas Tech team last weekend, giving up 499 total yards, 205 rush yards, 6.9 yards per play and 26 first downs. The offense had a couple of turnovers in addition to just 230 total yards, 3.7 yards per play and 13 first downs. The Knights have scored fewer than 12 points in three of the last five outings, a 1-4 stretch of games. This matchup could very well be a low-scoring defensive battle. It’ll be an interesting one to watch, even with both teams struggling.
