The Wyoming Cowboys and Northern Colorado Bears do battle Saturday night in week 2 college football action at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium. The Northern Colorado Bears look for a win after losing their opener to Houston Baptist. The Wyoming Cowboys look to get a game above a .500 record with a win here.

The Northern Colorado Bears have lost 4 of their last 6 road games. Jacob Sirmon is completing 66.6 percent of his passes for 249 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Trevis Graham and Alec Pell have combined for 151 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns, while Noah Ford has 7 receptions. The Northern Colorado Bears ground game is averaging 118 yards per contest, and Elijah Dotson leads the way with 59 yards on 10 carries. Defensively, Northern Colorado is allowing 46 points and 471 yards per game. Nick Norris leads the Northern Colorado Bears with 8 tackles, Vincent King has 1 sack and Dustin Johnson has 1 interception.

The Wyoming Cowboys have split their last 6 home games. Andrew Peasley is completing 50 percent of his passes for 286 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 interception. Joshua Cobbs and Will Pelissier have combined for 163 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns, while Parker Christensen has 4 receptions. The Wyoming Cowboys ground game is averaging 164.5 yards per contest, and Titus Swen leads the way with 138 yards on 28 carries. Defensively, Wyoming is allowing 37.5 points and 500.5 yards per game. Easton Gibbs leads the Wyoming Cowboys with 17 tackles, Shae Suiaunoa has 1 sack and Keonte Glinton has 3 pass deflections.

The Bears are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games in September. The Cowboys are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 vs. Big Sky and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The under is 7-3 in Bears last 10 road games. The over is 5-0 in Cowboys last 5 games overall.

The Northern Colorado Bears aren’t a high quality FCS team, and I’m not thrilled to back them after what we saw in their opener against another poor side. However, let’s not act like the Wyoming Cowboys are world beaters, and they’re coming off a double overtime game against Tulsa. Wyoming also has a short week next week with Air Force, so this could be a win and get out situation. Not the best bet on the card, but give me the points if forced to pick.
