The East Carolina Pirates and Campbell Camels do battle Saturday in week 3 college football action from Dowdy-Fickien Stadium.

The Campbell Camels will be looking to rebound from a 37-21 loss to William & Mary last time out. Hajj-Malik Williams threw for 186 yards, a TD and an interception on 18 of 31 passing while also rushing for a team-high 91 yards and a pair of scores as well. Julian Hill led Campbell with 7 grabs for 95 yards and a score as well.

The East Carolina Pirates will hope to build on their 39-21 win over Old Dominion last time out. Holton Ahlers has thrown for 537 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions on 62.5% passing while Keaton Mitchell leads ECU’s ground attack with 196 rushing yards and 2 TDs. Isaiah Winstead has a team-high 11 grabs for 147 yards while Jaylen Johnson and C.J. Johnson each have 100+ receiving yards as well this season. On defense, Gerard Stringer leads the Pirates with 13 total tackles while Shaundre Mims has 1.5 sacks and the ECU defense has a pair of interceptions.

Campbell is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games while the over is 5-1 in their last 6 games following a loss. East Carolina is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 home games and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games overall while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 home games.

I get the case to be made for the Camels here as they’ll likely be sky-high for a chance at one of the big boys. However, there’s still a big discrepancy between the Camels and East Carolina and it’s hard to grab onto them in an underdog role. On the other side, this is still a ton of points to be laying with ECU. I’m going to stick with the under here as I think East Carolina does enough to win this game convincingly, but I just see it finishing closer to 51 points than getting into the mid-50s where it’ll likely be come kickoff. Give me the under in a game that I’m honestly not rushing to the window to bet.
