The Arizona Wildcats and the West Virginia Mountaineers meet Saturday in college football action from Milan Puskar Stadium in Morgantown. Here’s a West Virginia vs Arizona prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best West Virginia vs Arizona pick.

Arizona Wildcats Betting Preview

The Wildcats opened up their 2026 campaign with a pretty simple matchup versus Northern Arizona. That one turned into a 35-7 win for Arizona. Game two was a loss 28-17 versus BYU, but then came another win versus Northern Illinois 42-17 on September 19. The Wildcats would then take a road victory over Washington State, prevailing 34-24 on September 26.

In last weekend’s game versus Cincinnati, the Wildcats scored a touchdown in the first quarter but they were only up 10-0 by the break. Arizona found the end zone twice in the third quarter though, and eventually won it 34-7. QB Noah Fifita was 25-of-37 for 284 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Isaiah Mizell led the receivers on four catches for 67 yards.

West Virginia Mountaineers Betting Preview

Over on the Mountaineers’ side, they got started this year with three consecutive victories. Those wins came courtesy of Coastal Carolina, Tennessee-Martin and Virginia for a nice 3-0 run to kick off the campaign. West Virginia took their first loss of the season on September 26 versus Oklahoma State, however. That one was a 41-24 defeat for the Mountaineers.

Matched up against Iowa State on Saturday the Mountaineers had a shootout on their hands. West Virginia scored a couple of touchdowns in the first half and came out of the break down 21-14. The Mountaineers had the game tied 28-28 at the end of the third but ultimately lost 45-42. QB Michael Hawkins had 227 pass yards with two scores alongside 149 rush yards and two more scores.

West Virginia vs Arizona Prediction

I’ll go with West Virginia but you could call this one either way. It’ll be a fun game. The Mountaineers were able to go punch-for-punch with Iowa State in their wild loss last weekend but ultimately gave up a whopping 577 yards and 29 first downs on defense. The offense notched 518 yards themselves with 291 rush yards but did have a couple of lost fumbles. The 10 penalties for 86 yards weren’t helpful either.

As for Arizona, they took care of Cincinnati last weekend thanks to 522 yards, 30 first downs and a pretty nice 9-of-14 success rate on third downs. The Wildcats have now won three straight and they’ve got at least 34 points in all four of their wins. WVU will have to hit the gas on offense in order to keep a relative pace in this one, but I think they can do it.
