The Broncos fought hard in that one and pushed the Wolverines to the edge but still took a 13-12 loss. As for game two, Western Michigan managed to score points in every quarter (with 21 in the third) on the way to a 49-14 blowout win over Monmouth.

Western Michigan vs Boise State Prediction
I’ll stick with Boise State. In their win over South Dakota last weekend the Broncos looked pretty darn good. Boise State posted 533 yards total (325 rushing) with 6.7 yards per play, 29 first downs and 8-of-13 on third-down tries. The two lost fumbles were just about the only complaints to make offensively. On D Boise State gave up just 36 rushing yards, 11 first downs and 3-of-12 on third downs.
As for Western Michigan, they managed 333 yards (217 rushing), 5.3 yards per play and 17 first downs versus Rice. The key in that game was the Bronco’s defense giving up just 1-of-10 on third downs, but they also surrendered 209 rushing yards. Boise State is going to push that run game hard here.
