It is going to be an exciting rest of the week for our DFS lineups and it start with one of the better PGA events of the season with the US Open! Let us take a look at our PGA DraftKings DFS lineup for the US Open that starts this Thursday at 6:50am!

It feels a bit weird writing up the US Open in mid-September, but I’m really excited to watch the US Open this year as it’s going to be at one of the more difficult courses the PGA plays at in Winged Foot in Mamaroneck, NY!

The US Open last played at Winged Foot in 2006 and certainly gave everyone on the course trouble as the winner, Geoff Ogilvy, finished at 5-over par and did not have one round under par! Winged Foot is lined up to play as difficult if not worse this season as it is a long course (Par 70, 7500 yards) and early reports are saying that the rough in areas will be up to 5-inches thick!

It’s going to be important not to lose hope early with your lineups this week as we could see a cut line around between +7 & +10 and it’s really just going to be contest were you are hoping you golfers get par and move on to the next challenge.

As it is a Par 70, we only have two Par 5’s on the course, and your best chance of grabbing a birdie or better will be the reachable 5th hole that plays about 515 yards. The 2nd Par 5 is a monster of a hole, about 640 yards and is really a three-shot Par 5.

For our golfers this week, as much as I do line Dustin Johnson & John Rahm, I wanted to save my salary and have a balanced lineup with six quality golfers. I love taking chances on value golfers and it certainly can pay off, however, for my lineup construction this week I did not dip below the $7,400 range on DraftKings.

When looking at constructing my lineup, I really was just looking for solid all-around games, and players that for the most part, were solid in terms of bogey avoidance.

Here is our PGA DraftKings DFS lineup for the US Open:

  • Xander Schauffele
  • Hideki Matsuyama
  • Tyrrell Hatton
  • Abraham Ancer
  • Louis Oosthuizen
  • Brendon Todd

Good Luck!
