This week, Draftkings football fans will be presented with the 112th Grey Cup game featuring a matchup between the Montreal Alouettes and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Let’s take a look at this CFL game from a Draftkings perspective.
Prior to discussing my DFS picks for the 112th Grey Cup game, let’s review an important note regarding the rules and scoring for CFL single game showdown contests on the Draftkings platform.
For those readers who are not aware, the rules and scoring for DraftKings single game showdown contests are vastly different than the traditional classic contests offered by the platform.
If you need to review the specific rules for the single game showdown contests feel free to check out the Draftkings website.
*I recommend that all readers review the starting lineups for both teams prior to setting your DFS lineup for this one game CFL slate. Remember, once lineups lock on the Draftkings platform you cannot swap players.
Here are my Draftkings picks for this week’s Montreal Alouettes vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders matchup.
Draftkings 112th Grey Cup CFL Player Selections
Captain-Trevor Harris, Quarterback, Saskatchewan Roughriders $12,400
Veteran quarterback Trevor Harris has been the field general that the Saskatchewan Roughriders have needed to win games this season. Having stated that, how has Harris performed from a data perspective in 2025? Let’s examine the talented signal caller’s relevant key player game data from the 2025 CFL regular season to better shed light on Harris’s overall contributions to his team.
In the 17 games that quarterback Trevor Harris has played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the 2025 CFL regular season, Harris compiled 4,549 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns and 53 rushing yards.
Last week, in the Saskatchewan Roughriders 24-21 playoff victory over the BC Lions, Saskatchewan quarterback Trevor Harris certainly played at a high level. For further clarity, let me elaborate on my previous statement. In the Roughriders defeat of the BC Lions, Harris amassed 305 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and 15 rushing yards.
Looking closer at the data just presented, in the the Roughriders win over the BC Lions, Trevor Harris tallied a whopping 24.2 Draftkings points.
It is noteworthy that these two teams met earlier this season. How did Trevor Harris perform in the game? Who prevailed? In the Saskatchewan Roughriders dominant 34-6 victory over the Montreal Alouettes in August, Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris accumulated 289 passing yards and two passing touchdowns.
Additionally, I like Trevor Harris’s matchup in the 112th Grey Cup. Why? The Montreal Alouettes defense has had issues containing the quarterback position recently. In the two games that the Alouettes have played in the 2025 CFL playoffs, the defense is allowing an average of 287.5 passing yards a contest.
What is the primary reason I like Trevor Harris at the captain position? From a DFS construction standpoint, Harris offers direct access to all Roughriders touchdowns and passing yardage, which is critical in Draftkings Showdown formats where capturing every scoring event is paramount.
As I noted in the rules section above, selecting the correct player at the captain position for a Draftkings CFL showdown lineup is absolutely vital if you hope to win a large field GPP (guaranteed prize pool) DFS contest. Keep that in mind as you construct your lineups.
In my view, Trevor Harris is the most likely player to post the most Draftkings points in this CFL playoff game. For that specific reason, I am backing Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris at the captain position for this one game CFL DFS slate.
Flex plays I like to play well in the 112th Grey Cup (Draftkings price noted): Davis Alexander, Quarterback (Montreal Alouettes) $12,000: Tyson Philpot, Wide Receiver (Montreal Alouettes) $11,000: AJ Ouellete, Running Back (Saskatchewan Roughriders) $10,600: Kian Schaffer-Baker, Wide Receiver (Saskatchewan Roughriders) $5,700: Joe Robustelli, Wide Receiver (Saskatchewan Roughriders) $4,600.
