DraftKings Best College Football DFS Picks 8/31/24
Saturday is a larger DraftKings college football slate with 12 games on the main card that kicks off at noon. Let’s break down some players at each position that should be put in your lineup and make it a college football DFS winning day.
Quarterback
Kyron Drones ($8300)
Virginia Tech is going to have a solid season, and the biggest reason is going to be because of quarterback Kyron Drones. In this game, the Hokies quarterback gets to face off against a Vanderbilt Commodores defense that was awful last year, and isn’t going to be any better here. Drones can really throw the ball, but his running game is often overlooked, and having a dual threat quarterback is especially helpful in DFS. Drones is going to have a huge game here and go well over the value.
Dylan Raiola ($8300)
Dylan Raiola is going to make his debut as a freshman for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and the expectations around him are lofty. This UTEP defense is going to be a problem, and that means Raiola is going to sling it around anywhere. The only real concerns are the jitters he might have, but I am not all that concerned about that. He’s going to find the end zone a couple of times and go over value.
Running Back
Amar Johnson ($4500)
South Dakota State Jackrabbits running back Amar Jackson is a great play, especially in GPPs. He faces an Oklahoma State Cowboys defense that really struggled against the run, giving up 178 yards per game on the ground last year. The only real concern here is if Oklahoma State gets out to a huge start and South Dakota State has to abandon the run, but I don’t think that is going to be the case, Amar Johnson is going to have a huge game.
LeQuint Allen ($5100)
LeQuint Allen is probably the most chalk on the entire slate, but for good reason, he’s going to have a huge game. Allen last season was a top 50 running back, and he’s priced at a super slow price, all things considered. Not much else really needs to be sad about him, he’s going to have a huge game.
Wide Receiver
Dominic Lovett ($6400)
Dominic Lovett in a couple of weeks, is going to have a salary over $8000 and maybe reaching close to $9000, that’s how good he is. Brock Bowers is gone for the Georgia Bulldogs, which means overs are going to need to step up. Last year, Lovett finished with 54 catches for 613 yards. The Clemson Tigers defense is going to have no answer, and Lovett is going to smash the value.
Isaiah Neylor ($5200)
Isaiah Neylor is a great stack to start, especially if you are playing Raiola at quarterback. Isaiah Naylor is probably someone that needs to be in your lineup also. Neylor was hurt last season but when he was healthy and with the Texas Longhorns he was a deep threat, and that is one of Raiola’s strengths. Neylor is a bit risky, but can find the end zone a time or two here.
