Draftkings Best NBA Showdown Picks: Mavericks vs. Kings

The Dallas Mavericks travel to the California for a matchup with the Sacramento Kings.

Captain-De’Aaron Fox $10,200

Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox has been posting some outstanding offensive numbers in 2024. Through 72 games played this season, Fox is averaging 26.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.6 assists, and 2 steals a game.

It should also be mentioned that De’Aaron Fox will be facing a Dallas Mavericks defense that has had issues containing opposing point guards recently. In the last 30 games played in the NBA, Dallas is ranked 22nd in total Draftkings points (51.6) allowed to the point guard position. Considering the fact that the NBA has a total of 30 teams in the entire league, 30th is not good.

There is no doubt in my mind that Fox will post quality fantasy numbers versus this Dallas Mavericks team tonight.

Flex Plays

Kyrie Irving $10,600

How important is Dallas point guard Kyrie Irving to the Mavericks offense? In the Mavericks last two games played, Kyrie Irving has averaged 25.5 points, 5 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.3 steals a game. I think it’s fair to say that the Mavericks offense runs through the Dallas point guard.

Domantas Sabonis $12,000

Since the beginning of March, the Sacramento have played 14 games. In those 14 games just noted, Kings center Domantas Sabonis has averaged an impressive 19 points, 15.6 rebounds, and 8 assists a game. It has to be said, those are some outstanding offensive numbers from the Sacramento big man.

Upon reviewing the statistics just noted, what really pops off the page for me is Sabonis is averaging nearly a triple double since the start of March.

Similar to De’Aaron Fox, Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis draws a Dallas Mavericks defense that is clearly having issues with allowing fantasy points to the center position.

In the last 30 games played in the NBA, the Dallas Mavericks are ranked a rather low 20th in total Draftkings points (55.90) allowed a game to the center position.
