August 28, 2025 7:00 am EDT
This week, Draftkings presents golf fans with the 2025 FM Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a DFS perspective.
Before I dive into my DFS player selections for the 2025 FM Championship let’s review the golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a golfer’s success at this week’s LPGA Tour event.
Where will the FM Championship be played?
The 2025 FM Championship will be played at TPC Boston in Boston, Massachusetts. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 6,598 yards.
Will the FM Championship have a traditional cut after two rounds?
The 2025 FM Championship will have a field of 144 competitors to start the tournament on Thursday. This event will have a cut after the completion of the first two rounds. The top 65 golfers and ties will make the cut.
2025 FM Championship Key Player Statistics
- Birdie or Better Percentage
- GIR (greens in regulation)
- Strokes Gained: Around the Green
- Bogey Avoidance
- Strokes Gained: Approach
- Strokes Gained: Tee to Green
I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.
Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!
FM Championship Draftkings DFS Picks
Minjee Lee $10,600
Since the beginning of January, Minjee Lee has played 15 tournaments on the LPGA Tour. In those 15 events just mentioned, Lee has tallied nine top 15 finishes, including a win at the 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in June.
Minjee Lee also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Lee is currently ranked second in overall strokes gained (2.54), 18th in strokes gained tee to green (1.06), ninth in strokes gained off the tee (0.70), sixth in total birdies made (232) and second in strokes gained putting (1.15) on the LPGA Tour.
What did we learn from that data just presented? Clearly, Minjee Lee is currently playing golf at a high-level entering this week’s 2025 FM Championship.
Hae-Ran Ryu $9,300
The talented South Korean has compiled two top 23 finishes in her last three events played on the LPGA Tour, including a seventh-place result at the 2025 Standard Portland Classic two weeks ago.
Ryu is currently ranked first in strokes gained tee to green (2.09), seventh in strokes gained off the tee (0.72), first in strokes gained approach (1.44), first in GIR (greens in regulation-76.88%) and 15th in overall strokes gained (1.41) on the LPGA Tour.
It is noteworthy that Ryu has posted a quality result at TPC Boston in the past. More specifically, Hae-Ran Ryu won the 2024 FM Championship.
Hye Jin Choi $9,200
Hye Jin Choi has tallied six top 14 finishes in her last eight events played on the LPGA Tour, including a fourth-place result at the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open in June. Choi also finished 25th at the 2024 FM Championship.
Leona Maguire $7,600
Leona Maguire has amassed four top 20 finishes in her last five tournaments played on the LPGA Tour, including a seventh-place finish at the 2025 Amundi Evian Championship last month.
Alexa Pano $7,500
Last week, Alexa Pano fired a third round 67 at the 2025 CPKC Women’s Open en route to an eventual 15th place finish.
Additional golfers I like to play well at this week’s 2025 FM Championship (Draftkings price noted): Lottie Woad $10,000: Nelly Korda $10,800: Rio Takeda $9,800: Grace Kim $7,600: Ingrid Lindblad $7,400.
