Draftkings Irish Open Second Round Picks 9/5/25

This Friday morning, Draftkings golf fans will be presented with the second round of the 2025 Irish Open. Let’s take a look at the second round of this tournament from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections for this week’s event let’s review where the second round of the 2025 Irish Open will be played.

The 2025 Irish Open will be played at the K Club (Palmer Course) in Kildare, Ireland. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,441 yards.

*Rasmus Hojgaard won the 2024 Irish Open with a cumulative four round score of nine under par.

Here are my DraftKings picks for the second round of the 2025 Irish Open.

Draftkings Second Round Picks

Marco Penge $10,800

Marco Penge arrives at this week’s event on the heels of three consecutive top eight finishes on the DP World Tour, including a win at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship three weeks ago.

Due to Marco Penge’s impressive victory at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship, I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the event to determine how Penge fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship, in relation to the field, Marco Penge ranked first in GIR (greens in regulation-79.17%), first in strokes gained tee to green (4.20), fifth in strokes gained approach (1.87), second in scrambling (80%), first in par four scoring average (3.86) and second in bogey avoidance (5).

It should be noted that Marco Penge has posted a quality result at the K Club previously. Penge finished 12th at the 2024 Irish Open.

Adrien Saddier $7,600

Adrien Saddier has amassed two top 24 finishes in his last six tournaments played on the DP World Tour, including a win at the 2025 Italian Open in June. Saddier also finished 19th at the 2018 Irish Open.

Oliver Lindell $7,700

Oliver Lindell has tallied two top eight finishes in his last three events played on the DP World Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2025 Danish Golf Championship.

Mikael Lindberg $7,400

Mikael Lindberg has amassed two top 13 finishes in his last three events played on the DP World Tour, including a 13th place result at last week’s 2025 Omega European Masters.

Additionally, Linberg finished 23rd at the 2023 Irish Open. Why is that significant? The 2023 Irish Open was played at the K Club.

What did we learn from the data just presented? Clearly, Mikeal Lindberg is playing golf at a high level. With that said, I fully expect that trend to continue in the second round of the 2025 Irish Open.
