Entering tonight’s game, the Los Angeles Clippers are currently ranked fourth in the Western Conference playoff standings. Having stated that, a big reason why the Clippers have played consistent quality basketball this season is Los Angeles Clippers point guard James Harden.

How well has James Harden played from a statistical standpoint in 2024? In 76 games played this season, Harden has averaged 16.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.2 steals a game.

Harden will be facing a Utah Jazz defense that has certainly had issues containing opposing point guards this season. In the last 30 games played in the NBA, the Utah Jazz are ranked 30th in total Draftkings points allowed a game (55.06) to the point guard position. Considering the fact the NBA has a total of 30 teams in the entire league being ranked 30th in any defensive category if clearly not good.

It should also be noted that talented Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard has been ruled out for this evening’s game with the Jazz. Leonard’s absence should allow Harden to have more opportunities to shoot the basketball more often. In summary, I am rolling with James Harden as my captain for this one game slate.
