Draftkings Best Masters Tournament First Round Picks 4/11/24

This Thursday, the PGA Tour presents the first round of the 2024 Masters Tournament. Let’s take a look at this prestigious event from a DFS perspective.

Before I discuss my Draftkings player selections, let’s take a look at where the first round of the Masters Tournament will be played.

The 2024 Masters Tournament will be played at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. The golf course is a par 72 that measures approximately 7,555 yards.

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

Here are my DraftKings player selections for the first round of the 2024 Masters Tournament.

Draftkings Player Picks

Xander Schauffele $10,100

Since the beginning of January, Xander Schauffele has played eight events on the PGA Tour. In those eight tournaments just mentioned, Schauffele has accumulated six top ten finishes, including a second-place result at the 2024 Players Championship three weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s 2024 Masters Tournament field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Xander Schauffele ranks third in strokes gained tee to green, third in GIR (greens in regulation), second in bogey avoidance, and second in strokes gained on par fours.

Xander Schauffele has posted quality results at the Augusta National Golf Club previously. Schauffele finished third at the 2021 Masters Tournament.

Adam Scott $7,400

The talented Australian has accumulated four top 20 finishes in his last six tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including an eighth-place result at the 2024 Waste Management Phoenix Open in February.

In relation to this week’s 2024 Masters Tournament field, in the last 50 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Adam Scott ranks second in strokes gained putting, 11th in driving distance, and 11th in par four scoring.

Adam Scott won the 2013 Masters Tournament.

Patrick Reed $7,400

The 2018 Masters winner arrives at this week’s tournament on the heels of two consecutive top nine finishes (LIV Golf and Asian Tours combined), including a ninth-place result at last week’s 2024 LIV Golf Miami event.

Lucas Glover $6,300

Lucas Glover has accumulated two consecutive top 25 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an 11th place finish at the 2024 Valspar Championship two weeks ago.
