Captain-Luis Perez, QB $10,400

Arlington starting quarterback Luiz Perez has certainly been a key contributor to the Arlington Renegades offense in 2024. Having stated that, how has Perez been playing from a statistical standpoint?

Through six games played in the UFL this season, Luis Perez has averaged 221.7 passing yards and 1.2 passing touchdowns a game.

I should also note that I like Luis Perez’s matchup this week. Why? Perez will be facing a Memphis Showboats defense that has had issues containing opposing quarterbacks this season.

In six games played in the UFL in 2024, the Arlington Renegades are ranked eighth in total Draftkings points allowed a game (24.8) to the quarterback position. Keep in mind that the UFL has a total of eight teams in the entire league. Having stated, being ranked eighth in any defensive category is clearly not good.

I noted in the rules section above just how important it is to select the correct captain for your Draftkings lineup if you hope to win a large field GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest. Having stated that, I think that Renegades quarterback Luis Perez fits the captain narrative perfectly for this one game slate.

Daewood Davis, WR $9,200

Talented Showboats wide receiver Daewood Davis has been targeted quite often by Memphis quarterbacks Case Cookus and Troy Williams this season. Let me be more specific. Memphis Showboats quarterbacks have combined to target Daewood Davis a robust 50 times in six games played in 2024.

Of those 50 targets just noted, Daewood Davis has accumulated 28 receptions, 274 receiving yards, and 2 receiving touchdowns. That is the type of production I need from players I select for my flex positions.

In summary, I expect Memphis Showboats wide receiver Daewood Davis to post quality fantasy numbers versus this Arlington Renegades defense on Saturday.

Sal Cannella, TE $5,900

I think it’s fair to say that Arlington Renegades quarterback Luis Perez certainly enjoys throwing the football to Sal Cannella. Why do I say that? Let me present you with relevant player data to answer that question. In six games played in the UFL this season, Arlington Renegades quarterback Luis Perez has targeted Renegades tight end Sal Cannella a total of 31 times.

Of those 31 targets just noted, Sal Cannella accumulated 23 receptions, 216 receiving yards, and 2 touchdowns.

I like Sal Cannella’s low Draftkings price of only $5,900. In my opinion, Cannella presents the best fantasy value of any player on this one game slate.
