Due to Jordan Smith’s 13th-place finish at the 2024 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the tournament to see how Smith fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of competitive play at the 2024 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, in relation to the field, Jordan Smith ranked first in driving accuracy (85.71%), 20th in GIR (greens in regulation-83.3%), fifth in strokes gained off the tee to green (0.96), 11th in scrambling (66.67%), and third in strokes gained putting (1.70).

Jordan Smith has posted a quality result at the Gary Player Country Club in the past. More specifically, Smith finished 13th at the 2023 Nedbank Golf Challenge.

Tom McKibbin $9,600

McKibbin also checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. Tom McKibbin is currently ranked 14th in driving accuracy (63.11%), 18th in scoring average (69.86), and 20th in GIR (greens in regulation-71.33%) on the DP World Tour.

Mackenzie Hughes $8,900

The talented Canadian has compiled three top eight finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive fifth place result at the 2024 RSM Classic two weeks ago.

I fully expect Mackenzie Hughes to continue his outstanding play at this week’s 2024 Nedbank Golf Challenge.

Paul Waring $8,100

Paul Waring has tallied three consecutive top seven finishes on the DP World Tour, including a win at the 2024 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship.

Similar to Jordan Smith, Paul Waring has posted a good result at this week’s DP World Tour event previously. Waring finished 19th at the 2023 Nedbank Golf Challenge.
