Earlier this morning, the Los Angeles Clippers announced that Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard will miss tonight’s game due to injury. I think Leonard’s absence in the lineup will force Paul George to be much more aggressive offensively. Having stated that, I think Paul George posts outstanding fantasy numbers versus this Nuggets team later today.

Reggie Jackson $6,000

Last month, Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray injured his ankle in a game with the New York Knicks. The injury has caused Murray to miss the Nuggets last six consecutive games. Denver has listed Murray as questionable for tonight’s game.

If Jamal Murray is declared out for this evening’s game, who will start at point guard for the Denver Nuggets? Nuggets point guard Reggie Jackson will likely be the Denver player that gets the start if Murray is indeed ruled out for this game.

It should be noted that Reggie Jackson has started the Nuggets first six games played without Murray in the starting lineup, In the six games just mentioned, Denver guard Reggie Jackson has averaged 14.8 points, 7.8 assists, and 1 steal a game.

I certainly like the matchup Reggie Jackson will be facing this evening. Why? The Los Angeles Clippers defense has had issues containing opposing point guards this season. In the last 30 games played in the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers are ranked 27th in total Draftkings points allowed a game (52.3) to the point guard position.

Michael Porter $7,200

I noted earlier in this article that Denver point guard Jamal Murray is in serious danger of missing tonight’s game with Minnesota.

Murray’s likely absence this evening will open the door for other Nuggets players to contribute offensively. I think Denver forward Michael Porter will be one of the Nuggets players to see more shot attempts, etc.
