Draftkings Best NBA Showdown Picks: Hawks vs. Jazz

After a 106-102 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, the Atlanta Hawks travel to Salt Lake City, Utah for a matchup with the Utah Jazz.

Atlanta shooting guard Dejounte Murray arrives at tonight’s game with the Utah Jazz simply playing outstanding basketball from a statistical perspective. Let me be more specific. In his last three games played, Murray has averaged 34.6 points, 4 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 1.6 steals a game.

It should also be noted that Murray will be facing a Utah Jazz defense that has had issues containing opposing shooting guards this season. In the last 15 games played in the NBA, the Jazz are ranked a rather low 26th in total Draftkings points allowed a game (45.26) to the shooting guard position.

Dejounte Murray will certainly be in the vast majority of my DFS lineups for this one game Draftkings slate.

Collin Sexton $7,800

How important is Cleveland shooting guard Collin Sexton to the Cavaliers offense? Let’s dive into a recent sample size of Sexton’s recent statistical data to get a better idea of his recent performance on the basketball court. In his last three games played, Collin Sexton has averaged 20.3 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists a game.

Similar to Dejounte Murray, Collin Sexton draws a Atlanta Hawks defense that is having trouble allowing fantasy points to the shooting guard position.

In the last 15 games played in the NBA, the Hawks are ranked 32nd in total Draftkings points (50.58) allowed a game to the shooting guard position. Keep in mind that the NBA has a total of 32 teams in the entire league. That means the Hawks are dead last in the NBA guarding opposing shooting guards.

Keyonte George $7,200

Utah point guard Keyonte George has been posting some big numbers for his Jazz team lately. In his last two games played, George has averaged 27.5 points, 3 rebounds, 6 assists, and 1 block a game.

I mentioned earlier in this article that the Hawks have struggled defending shooting guards this season. Well, Atlanta is not much better defending opposing point guards. Frankly, I love George’s matchup vesrsus this horrendous Hawks defense.
