On Thursday afternoon, Major League Baseball presents the second game of a three-game interleague series featuring the Minnesota Twins and the Miami Marlins.
How are these two teams playing entering today’s MLB game? The Minnesota Twins arrive at the second game of this three-game series with the Miami Marlins playing below average baseball. The Twins have lost three of the team’s last four games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a 3-0 shutout loss to the Detroit Tigers four days ago.
In direct contrast to the Minnesota Twins, the Miami Marlins are playing good baseball entering this MLB game. More specifically, the Marlins have won eight of the team’s last nine games played in the 2025 MLB regular season, including a 4-2 win over the San Francisco Giants last week.

Six days ago, in the Minnesota Twins 4-1 win over the Detroit Tigers, Minnesota starting pitcher David Festa pitched exceptionally well.
