FanDuel Best NBA DFS Picks: Bucks vs. Lakers

Analyzing the best FanDuel player selections for this evening's Bucks vs. Lakers matchup.

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Los Angeles Lakers
March 8, 2024 10:00 pm EDT

After a 125-90 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, the Milwaukee Bucks travel to Los Angeles for a matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Before we dive into the Bucks vs. Lakers game, let’s review the rules for FanDuel single game contest.

FanDuel Single Game Contest Rules

Here are the single game contest rules. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The MVP accumulates 2x times the standard FanDuel fantasy points value.

The remaining four players in your lineup will be the star, pro, and flex plays. The star player will receive 1.5x the standard fantasy points value. The pro player will accumulate 1.2x the standard fantasy points value.

The final two flex positions will receive the standard points value. Having stated that, it is important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game contest, I highly recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Here are my FanDuel Player Selections for tonight’s Milwaukee Bucks vs. Los Angeles Lakers matchup.

FanDuel Player Picks

MVP-Anthony Davis $16,000

If the Lakers are going to defeat the Bucks tonight, Los Angeles center Anthony Davis is going to have to play at an elite level. Judging by his recent play on the basketball court, the big man is certainly up for the challenge. In his last five games played, Anthony Davis has averaged an impressive 50.94 FanDuel points a game.

I think it’s fair to say that the Lakers offense runs through the Los Angeles center. Having stated that, I love his chances to perform at a high level versus this Milwaukee Bucks team.

Star-Giannis Antetokounmpo $17,000

Milwaukee center Giannis Antetokounmpo arrives at this evening’s game with the Lakers playing outstanding basketball from a statistical perspective. In his last three games played, Giannis Antetokounmpo has averaged 31 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists a game.

Looking at Antetokounmpo’s last three games even more closely you will see that Giannis certainly does not mind shooting the basketball. Over the last three games just mentioned, Antetokounmpo has accumulated a whopping 52 field goal attempts.

That’s almost 17 field goal attempts a game. Clearly, Antetokounmpo is the heart and soul of this Bucks team.

Pro-Damian Lillard $13,500

How important is Damion Lillard to this Milwaukee offense? Let’s take a look at a sample of Lillard’s recent game statistics to answer that question. In his last three games played, Damion Lillard has averaged 25.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 5.7 assists a game.

It should also be mentioned that Lillard will be facing a Los Angeles Lakers defense that has clearly had issues containing opposing point guards this season. The Lakers are currently ranked 20th in total FanDuel points allowed to the point guard position.

I like Lillard’s chances of finding success versus this Los Angeles Lakers team tonight.

Flex Plays I like: Lebron James $15,000: Bobby Portis $10,500: Pat Connaughton $3,000.
