FanDuel Best NBA DFS Picks: Warriors vs. Mavericks

Analyzing the best FanDuel picks for tonight's Warriors vs. Mavericks matchup.

Warriors vs. Mavericks
March 13, 2024 8:30 pm EDT

After a 112-102 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, the Warriors travel to the American Airlines Arena for a matchup with Dallas.

Before we dive into this evening’s Warriors vs. Mavericks game, let’s review the rules for Draftkings single game showdown contest.

FanDuel Single Game Contest Rules

Here are the single game contest rules. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The MVP accumulates 2x times the standard FanDuel fantasy points value.

The remaining four players in your lineup will be the star, pro, and flex plays. The star player will receive 1.5x the standard fantasy points value. The pro player will accumulate 1.2x the standard fantasy points value.

The final two flex positions will receive the standard points value. Having stated that, it is important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.

If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game contest, I highly recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.

Here are my FanDuel Player Selections for this evening’s Golden State Warriors vs. Dallas Mavericks matchup.

FanDuel Player Picks

MVP-Luka Doncic $17,500

How important is Dallas guard Luka Doncic to the Mavericks offense? In his last five games played, Luka Doncic has averaged an impressive 35.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 11.2 assists, and 1.2 blocks a game. I think it’s fair to say that the Mavericks offense runs through the Dallas point guard.

It should also be mentioned that Doncic will be facing a Warriors defense that has had issues containing opposing point guards recently. In the Warriors last 15 games played, Golden State is ranked a rather low 20th in total FanDuel points (47.3) allowed to the point guard position.

Having stated that, I fully expect that Doncic will have offensive success versus this Warriors defense tonight.

Flex Plays

Chris Paul $13,000

Last week, talented Golden State point guard Stephen Curry injured his ankle in a contest with the Chicago Bulls. The injury will cause Curry to miss tonight’s game versus the Mavericks.

The loss of Curry is a big blow to the Golden State offense. Who will benefit the most from Curry’s absence this evening? For me, the answer to that question is Warriors point guard Chris Paul.

In the Warriors first game without Curry in the starting lineup, Chris Paul accumulated 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists in Golden State’s win over the Spurs on Monday.  In my opinion, Chris Paul will continue to produce from a statistical standpoint versus the Mavericks later today.

Kyrie Irving, $14,500

How well has Dallas guard Kyrie Irving been playing in 2024? Through 65 games played this season, Irving is averaging 25.2 points, 5 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.2 steals a game.

I expect Kyrie Irving to continue to his quality play in tonight’s contest with the Warriors. Irving will definitely be in the vast majority of my DFS lineups for this one game slate.

Flex plays I like this evening: P.J. Washington $9,000: Andrew Wiggins $8,500: Trayce Jackson-Davis $5,000.
