NBA DFS Best FanDuel Player Selections: Kings vs. Lakers
Analyzing the best FanDuel player selections for tonight's Kings vs. Lakers matchup.
Sacramento Kings vs. Los Angeles Lakers
March 9, 2024 10:00 pm EDT
Later today, the NBA presents a Western Conference matchup between the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers.
Before we discuss my DFS player selections for this evening’s game, let’s briefly review the rules for the FanDuel single game contest.
Here are the FanDuel single game contest rules. You have $60,000 to utilize on five players from either team. However, one of those players will be designated as your team MVP. The MVP accumulates 2x times the standard FanDuel fantasy points value.
The remaining four players in your lineup will be the star, pro, and flex plays. The star player will receive 1.5x the standard fantasy points value. The pro player will accumulate 1.2x the standard fantasy points value.
The final two flex positions will receive the standard FanDuel points value. Having stated that, it is important for you to identify the correct player for your MVP position if you hope to win a FanDuel single game contest.
If you have additional questions regarding the rules for the single game contest, I highly recommend that you check out the FanDuel website for more details.
Here are my FanDuel Player Selections for tonight’s Kings vs. Lakers matchup.
FanDuel Player Picks
MVP-Lebron James $15,000
With about five weeks left in the regular season, tonight’s matchup between the Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers has increased importance as both teams battle for seeding in the upcoming Western Conference playoffs.
Due to this game’s increased significance, I think we will see Lakers forward Lebron James put the offense on his back tonight.
Let’s take a quick look at a sample of Lebron’s recent statistical data to get a better understanding of just how well the future hall of famer has been playing lately. In his last six games played, Lebron James has averaged 28 points, 6.5 rebounds, 9.1 assists, and 1.3 blocks a game.
For me, considering the importance of tonight’s contest, Lebron James just fits the perfect narrative for MVP. He will most certainly be a lock for my lineup.
Star-Anthony Davis $16,500
How important is Los Angeles center Anthony Davis to the Lakers offense? Through 63 games played this season, Anthony Davis has averaged an impressive 25.2 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.5 blocks and 1.1 steals a game.
I think it’s fair to say that the Los Angeles offense runs through the Lakers center. Having stated that, I love his chances to perform at a high level versus this Sacramento Kings team this evening.
Pro-Domantas Sabonis $12,000
Since the beginning of February, Kings center Domantas Sabonis has played 14 games. In those 14 games just mentioned, Sabonis has averaged an impressive 19.9 points, 14.3 rebounds, and 9.5 assists a game. It has to be said, those are some outstanding offensive numbers from the big man.
Upon reviewing the statistics just noted, what really pops off the page for me is Sabonis is averaging nearly a triple double since the start of February. That is the kind of production I need in my FanDuel lineup.
Flex plays I like this evening: De’Aaron Fox $14,000: Keegan Murray $10,000: Rui Hachimura $9,500: Malik Monk $9,500.
